Micro Dermabrasion
Reveal Fresh, Glowing Skin
Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-invasive exfoliating treatment designed to refresh and rejuvenate your skin. By removing dull, dry, and dead surface cells, this treatment reveals a brighter, smoother complexion underneath. It is safe and effective for all skin types and helps to restore your skin’s natural radiance with no downtime.
What it treats
- Dull, uneven skin tone and texture
- Dry, flaky skin
- Congested pores + blackheads
- Superficial acne scarring (shallow)
- Fine lines and early sun damage
- Rough areas (cheeks, forehead, chin)
- Keratosis pilaris on arms (mild)
Best for mild-to-moderate concerns. Not intended for deep wrinkles, significant scarring, or active, inflamed acne.
How It Works
At Red Lotus Spa, we use the advanced DiamondTome™ Skin Resurfacing System for all microdermabrasion treatments. During your session, one of our certified medical aestheticians will gently guide a diamond-tipped wand across your skin. The natural diamond chips exfoliate the outermost layer, while a gentle suction lifts away dead skin cells, leaving your skin polished, refreshed, and glowing.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about our Micro Dermabrasion treatments services
Find clear, trusted answers to the most common questions about our services to guide and support you every step of the way.
Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal—most clients describe it as a sand-papery buffing with light suction.
Is there downtime?
Usually none. You may be pink for a few hours. Makeup can be worn after 24 hours if skin feels comfortable.
How many sessions will I need?
A series of 4–6 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart, is typical for texture, congestion, and early sun damage. Maintenance every 4–8 weeks keeps results.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Microdermabrasion is color-blind when performed gently and correctly. We customize settings for your skin.
Can it help acne?
It can reduce congestion and blackheads for mild acne. We avoid areas with inflamed/cystic breakouts and may recommend alternative treatments for active acne.
Microdermabrasion vs. Dermaplaning what’s the difference?
Microderm uses abrasion + suction to exfoliate and clear pores. Dermaplaning uses a sterile blade to remove peach fuzz and surface dead skin. They can be combined in a plan, but not always on the same day depending on sensitivity.
Can I combine this with other treatments?
Yes—great before a hydrating facial, light enzyme peel, or LED therapy. We typically separate stronger peels, microneedling, and lasers by 2+ weeks.
I have rosacea/sensitive skin can I do it?
Possibly, with very gentle settings and no active flare. In some rosacea cases, we recommend alternative calming treatments instead.
Is it safe in pregnancy/breastfeeding?
Generally considered low risk when performed gently, but we skip actives and always follow your provider’s guidance.
When can I work out?
Wait 24 hours to avoid sweat/salt irritation and extra redness.
When will I see results?
You’ll look brighter and feel smoother immediately. Texture, pores, and tone continue to improve with a series.
