Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a gentle and effective treatment designed to refresh and rejuvenate your skin. Using a sterile surgical blade, it carefully removes the buildup of dead skin cells and fine peach fuzz, instantly revealing a smoother, brighter, and more radiant complexion.
This treatment not only improves skin texture and tone but also stimulates natural cell regeneration. By removing the surface layer of debris, dermaplaning enhances the absorption of skincare products, allowing them to penetrate more deeply and work more effectively.
Safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin, dermaplaning offers a non-invasive alternative to more aggressive exfoliation methods leaving your skin soft, glowing, and refreshed.
What It Treats
Dermaplaning exfoliates and rejuvenates skin. Dermaplaning is ideal for individuals with dull, dry, rough, or uneven skin tone. Add a ZO Stimulator Peel to your treatment to give your skin an extra boost and amplify the results of your treatment. This revolutionary beta/alpha acid peel stimulates cellular turnover, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall skin tone, texture and clarity without downtime!
How It Works
Dermaplaning uses a gentle scraping motion to free your skin of dead skin cells and fine facial hair. Skin is more radiant and visibly smoother following treatment. By eliminating the layer of hyperkeratosis (dead skin cells) and the peach fuzz we all have on our faces, dermaplaning exfoliates and rejuvenates skin.
Pre Treatment
Please arrive with clean skin. Your skin will be cleaned of any creams, lotions, or makeup to prepare for treatment.
Post Treatment
Dermaplaning is an ideal precursor to treatments like peels or laser treatments, and can help enhance their efficacy by preparing skin. As an isolated treatment, it fits easily into a busy schedule and does not require recovery or downtime.
Contraindications
Patients with active acne outbreaks, extremely oily skin or solar erythema should not receive this treatment.
Dermaplaning is usually performed on the entire face, but it is also possible to treat the skin on the neck in the same session. All skin types and phototypes (even sensitive skin) can be treated with dermaplaning, except for extremely oily skin and patients with active acne breakouts. Men can receive the treatment as long as they are shaved. A session lasts approximately one hour.

Find clear, trusted answers to the most common questions about our services to guide and support you every step of the way.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning uses a gentle scraping motion with a surgical blade to slough away dead skin cells and fine facial hair, revealing a fresh and even canvas. Skin is more radiant and visibly smoother following treatment. By eliminating the layer of hyperkeratosis (dead skin cells) and the peach fuzz we all have on our faces, dermaplaning exfoliates and rejuvenates skin.
What skin conditions does it treat?
Dermaplaning is ideal for individuals with dull, dry, rough, or uneven skin tone.
How does it work?
By scraping away dead skin cells and the layer of buildup we all have on our skin, dermaplaning lets skin breathe, frees clogged pores, and allows for a more radiant complexion. This treatment is much more effective than at-home exfoliation.
What is the procedure like?
Your dermaplaning specialist will use a tiny surgical blade to eliminate dead skin cells and fine hair. Most patients are very comfortable throughout the treatment. Dermaplaning may feel similar to shaving or scraping along the skin. This treatment is not painful.
How many treatments will I need?
Regular treatments are recommended every four to five weeks.
How long does a treatment last?
Dead skin cells can build up again within four to five weeks following treatment, which is why we recommend regular treatments. The positive effects on your complexion can be long-lasting.
What can I expect after my procedure?
You may experience some redness directly following treatment, but can get right back to your regular schedule without delay. Skin will feel smooth and radiant once the redness subsides.
