How It Works
Laser hair removal targets the dark pigment in hair follicles to eliminate hair at the root. Unlike shaving, laser treatment gets to the base of the hair follicle to minimize and eliminate hair regrowth.
Last- There are no guarantees in laser hair reduction. There are clinical studies showing improvement of up to 80–90% but that every patient will respond with this amount of efficacy. Results vary from patient to patient.
Pre Treatment
Shave the area 12-24 hours prior (don’t wax/pluck!), avoid all sun exposure/tanning for weeks before and after, arrive with clean skin (no makeup/lotion), and inform your technician about medications (like retinoids/antibiotics) that can increase skin sensitivity, ensuring you’re not using photosensitizing skincare products on the day of treatment for optimal safety and results
Post Treatment
Avoid
- Sun exposure.
- Heat - hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 48 hrs
- Avoid skin irritants products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc
- Do not wax or pluck between treatments
Expect
- Redness and perifollicular edema (looks like a rash/bug bites) are common and resolve with time
- Bruising and swelling are less common but may occur and will resolve with time
- Hair may take up to 2 weeks to fall out
- Hair removal requires a series of treatments. The number of treatments depends on body location and type of hair
- Notify us of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)

We generally recommend six to ten treatments, spaced about four/six weeks apart, for a long-lasting, noticeable reduction in hair regrowth.
How long does a treatment last?
Most clients notice a reduction in the number of hairs immediately following a laser hair removal procedure. After a series of treatment sessions, results can be permanent.
What can I expect after my procedure?
After laser hair removal, expect redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity (like a sunburn) for a few hours to days, soothing with cool compresses or aloe vera. In the following weeks, treated hairs will shed (look like stubble/blackheads), revealing smoother skin, though you’ll need multiple sessions for full results as new hairs grow finer.
